Abstract

Laodicea was one of the wealthiest cities in the Roman Empire, famous for its banking industry, trade networks, and financial power. Yet Christ's message in Revelation transformed the city's prosperity into a timeless warning about spiritual complacency. This article explores the wealth of Laodicea, its economic influence, and the enduring lessons its story offers to the modern Church.
